The World Chess Cup with the participation of the strongest grandmasters (15 of them are with a rating of 2700 and higher) starts today in Khanty-Mansiysk, Siberia.
It is a knock-out system tournament with FIDE control. The mini-match consists of two games and if it ends in a draw, a tiebreak is played.
